over the last few weeks, I designed a markup format to be used on the
laptops of the One Laptop per Child project (http://laptop.org), and
have arrived at one that's reasonably similar to Creole. The markup I've
worked on is a cross between John Gruber's Markdown and Lee Daniel
Crocker's proposed replacement for MW's wikitext syntax.
You can find the RFC (still a work in progress!), including rationale, here:
http://dev.laptop.org/git.do?p=users/krstic/docformat;a=blob;hb=HEAD;f=document-format.txt
The markup I need for OLPC is a superset of Creole, but it would
certainly be beneficial to see if we could converge on identical syntax
for the bits we do share.
Cheers,
