For Wiki research in general the best is "WikiSym".

For Wikimedia projects there is "Wikimania" - but if you don't specially 
aim on Wikipedia and similar projects then it's not the right conference.

The RecentChanges Camp is said to be fun - i've not been there so I 
cannot judge

Then of course there are numerous conferences on Knowledge Management 
e-Learning, Hypertext, Social Software etc. that may also be relevant.

so: It depend's on. In general WikiSym is the right choice.
