okay, but any wiki markup translators which use an intermediate
"standard" language (i.e. translate moinmoin markup to mediawiki
markup by: moinmoin --> standard language --> mediawiki) would have
this problem to some degree, right?
I would be surprised if any interwiki markup translation scheme was so
good that a translation from moinmoin --> standard
language --> mediawiki --> standard language --> moinmoin gave you the
same thing you started with in all cases.
so i think it's a (very big) start -- i doubt we will achieve
much better with any translation scheme using an intermediate
"standard" language.
