I'm working on a server side storage system for TiddlyWiki[1] called
TiddlyWeb[2] which is designed to have a pluggable credentials and
challenge system modeled after a similar thing in Socialtext, which is
modeled after a similar thing in Zope 2. It's likely the first
credentials will be OpenID. The links below have a bit more info:
