Amo is a nascent proposal for a standardized REST API to Wikis and wiki-like systems.
It has a wiki: http://www.socialtext.net/amo/index.cgi?the_amo_api
"The name Amo was devised by Zac Bir. Amo means 'carry', in Hawaiian, the language in which Wiki means 'quick'. Amo means 'I love' in Spanish, and is a cognate for 'love' in most latinate languages. The name reflects both the way we carry wiki data from place to place using this standard, and the affection for the wiki way and interoperability which we bring to this process."
Amo is based on or springs from the Socialtext REST API, documented at: http://www.socialtext.net/st-rest-docs/index.cgi?socialtext_rest_documentation
Participation is encouraged. The Socialtext REST API has proven very useful and usable and we believe the tool may make sense for other systems.
