Montreal

  • Worked
    • All WikiSym rooms together, so people stayed nearby
  • Could be better
    • Open Space room couldn't been bigger and/or more square

Odense

  • Worked
    • All space close together
    • Lobby-type space with wifi let people stay late into the night
  • Could be better
    • Open Space room couldn't been bigger and/or more square

San Diego

  • Worked
    • Very big room that could be configured in multiple ways
  • Could be better
    • WikiSym rooms were way too far apart, so people were dispersed

RCC 2006 Portland

  • Worked
    • Open Space room available 24 hours and affordable (free, in many cases) sleeping room on-site so people could easily go late into the night
  • Could be better

RCC 2007 Portland

  • Worked
    • Huge space (but not too big) that was all our own
    • variety of seats: couches, chairs
  • Could be better
    • Too cold
    • Had to go elsewhere to sleep (too rustic to camp)
    • Not a lot of off-site facilities (hotels, cafés, restaurants, bars) nearby

RoCoCo 2007 Montreal

  • Worked
    • big space for opening circle
    • lots of cubby-holes for other spaces, but still under the same roof
    • variety of seats
  • Could be better
